This Privacy Policy applies to all online and offline activities conducted by Gather Getaways LLC, including our website, communications (email, SMS, and other channels), and services.

When you start a website booking, we store your contact details, chosen property, travel dates, guest count, accepted booking terms, separate balance-payment and security-deposit authorizations, payment and card-hold references, and booking processing status. We use these records to complete your reservation, process the agreed payments and refundable security-deposit hold, record its release, and investigate or recover an interrupted booking.

Hostaway provides property availability and reservation management. Stripe provides hosted checkout and payment processing, including storage of your payment method for the authorized USD 500 refundable security-deposit hold and any authorized later balance payment. The card is saved for the hold even when your stay is paid in full at booking. Vercel hosts the website, and Upstash stores the website's booking and recovery records. The website does not receive or store full card numbers; card details are entered on Stripe's hosted checkout.

Production website booking records are normally retained until 180 days after departure, with a minimum retention of 30 days. Records held by Hostaway, Stripe, Vercel or other service providers may follow their separate retention policies. These website retention periods do not describe every record held by those providers.

If you provide your mobile phone number and opt in to receive SMS/text messages from Gather Getaways LLC, the following applies:

  • Opt-In: By providing your number and confirming your choice, you consent to receive text messages from us regarding bookings, updates, promotions, and customer service.
  • Opt-Out: You can cancel SMS messages at any time by replying STOP. After you send “STOP,” we may send a confirmation message and then you will no longer receive messages.
  • Help: If you need assistance, reply HELP or contact us at team@gathergetaways.com.
  • Frequency: Message frequency may vary.
  • Rates: Message and data rates may apply depending on your carrier and plan.
  • Carriers: Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
  • Privacy: Your mobile information will not be shared, sold, or disclosed to third parties for marketing purposes without your consent.

We may use collected information for:

  • Providing, operating, and maintaining our website and services.
  • Improving, personalizing, and expanding our offerings.
